Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected:
I don’t see you getting into any elite combined programs. They are extremely difficult to get into (I am talking about WashU, Northwestern, Brown and BU BA/MD). Rice is a possibility but I think Stanford is also a far reach.
Most BA/MD programs that I’m aware of, regardless of the Universities that they are based at, have admissions that are as competitive as HYPMS. At that level, your stats are good enough to put you in the running, but most students with even higher stats have been rejected. Nothing in your EC’s stand out overwhelmingly. Being a varsity athlete can’t hurt at Stanford even if not at a level to be recruited. Apply broadly, make sure to include real match and safety schools and hope for the best
Why do you plan to major in Business with interest in a BA/MD program when virtually all of those programs require a STEM undergrad major? What year are you in? When do you graduate, and when are you planning to apply? You’ve been posting the same questions over and over again for nearly a year.
I’m confused, you say you want to major in business but you want to go into a BA/MD program? Of course you don’t have to major in science, but it will be hard to get research opportunities for med school. I would minor in business. And to be honest, you will be going up against kids with national awards and alumni families. Think about it, what sets you apart from the rest of the applicants? Don’t be the well-rounded student with good test scores. You were only commended for national merit, and while that is really good, other applicants will actually be national merit scholars. You need something to set you apart. You also need more AP classes, other applicants will be top of their IB class or have 5’s on all their exams. You have to compete with those people.
