I wouldnt say it is a reach, but it certainly is not a match. High match? I’d say you will get into at least one of the two if you have a good essay. Good Luck!!!

For CS at UMich, you may apply to either CoE or LSA. CoE would be more competitive. Your GPA is good and above admission average while your ACT is only at the 25th percentile. For LSA, you are slightly above their 25th percentile at 30. As a OOS, it would be a low reach for LSA and reach for CoE. If you can bring up your ACT a couple points, you will have a much better chance at UMich LSA.

@1939er Can you chance me? Out of state btw

@1939er Thanks! I “summoned” you because Ive seen you post on other threads and thought your opinions were very genuine. And so you would say UMich is a low reach?

@1939er I’ve submitted apps so increasing scores is out of the question. I can just hope for the best. Can you chance me for UMD? I’m in state.

@1939er That is very true, I just thought UMich would have a greater prestige in degree because its like top 10 in almost all majors. But you are right, UMD is essentially my top choice. How likely do you think honors college or scholarships?

@1939er Thanks so much! If you dont mind, which college did you pick? with “our” stats lol

@1939er ohh i see, and btw, if i dont choose or get into UMD in the end for some reason, how would you say Ohio State is for CS? Better choice than Rutgers (which ive been accepted to already)?
