Chance for Virginia Tech?

Graduating in 2011

I'm sure you guys have heard this all before, but i'm a high potential, under achieving student who didnt get the grades he should of in freshman and sophmore year, and now i'm paying for it.

I really want to go to virginia tech, but it just seems that I might not be able to

heres the layout
3.3 gpa this year, but if i can keep up the pace (which I can, which will get me a 4.1 for the year) my gpa by the end should be around 3.54

2130 SAT, but I am considering retaking

ECs and stuff:
Vice president of Environmental Club
Heavy involvement in technical aspects of theater (Technician, House manger, stage manager)

Latin Honor society

No real volunteer service (do I still have time to get some in, or will it look like im just trying to butter up my application?)

Im working this summer

APs include: AP World (4) last year
AP Chem and APES this year
AP Gov, Bio, and Stats next year

Im also looking into JMU and Mary Washington

So Ive never really done this before, so please don't flame! Thanks!

VT - in
JMU - match
Mary Wash - match

You’ll be fine, your a junior so you have plenty of time. Try to join some community service clubs at your school or get involved in some way like at the local animal shelter, they can always use help. Just try to keep your GPA up and there is no reason why you shouldn’t 'be accepted. Colleges like an upward trend.

Ahh, and then I dont think I can edit my post any longer, but what would be better, applying early decision, or applying normal. Im not really sure about the differences in their acceptances between the two, but they seem to be a tad lower in GPA and SAT (early decision)

you shouldn’t worry about VT. you’re a perfect fit.
