Chances for Yale EA? Or
Duke
Georgetown
Vanderbuilt
Northwestern
Harvard
UM
John Hopkins
Princeton
Amherst
Swarthmore

Thank you! Any advice is appreciated :)

anyone?? pleasee :)

Id say you are about as good as it gets. In my opinion the only thing you need any improvement on is your ACT/SAT1. a 33 is a great score, but it is the only thing not up to par with the rest of your fantastic profile. Id say HYP are low reaches ( better than for most) the rest are matches/in

Good chances everywhere.

What is UM? Miami? Michigan? Minnesota?

What’s your safety school?

Yale EA reach
Duke reach
Georgetown in
Vanderbuilt in
Northwestern in
Harvard reach
UM- depends on wut m stands for
John Hopkins reach
Princeton reach
Amherst in
Swarthmore in
try to get good rec’s and write killer essays and you’ll most likely be in at yale
can u chance back plz? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/739962-plz-chance-overachiever-rice-u-maryland-duke-caltech-5-ucs.html#post1062841319</a></p>

I think you have a good chance of getting into Yale early action, maybe 60 to 70 percent. You’re definitely in Georgetown and Northwestern. Just be sure to take the SAT I because eastern schools prefer it.

Harvard, Princeton, Yale EA, Duke all reaches (but thats for everyone)
JHU low reach
In pretty much everywhere else

Oh sorry um stands for university of Michigan. My safeties are Miami of ohio, urichmond, and case western. Can you guys think of anore good safties?

Thanks for chancing! I plan on getting the act score up but I do really bad on sat practice tests :frowning: I’ll chance back tonight.

bumpp

anyone else?

Her ACT range is right in the middle of Yale’s ACT range, I don’t think that’s even an issue.
You have amazing chances anwhere based on these stats, if you have good recs (which I’m sure you will) and great essays I would say you can have your pick of schools, conversely these stats probably won’t make up for poor essays, so be sure to work really hard on those essays
Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/739609-barack-obama-says-chance-me-yale-scea.html</a></p>

Untrue. For an unhooked student the median score is a weakness. So is not being val or sal for Yale. Chances are much, much better here for any of the non HYPS schools.

In for all of them and good chances at Duke, Princeton. Yale EA looks like a 60-65% chance for you, probably higher than Harvard, which is about a 55% chance for Early and about 50% for Regular. Good luck to you.

Very good stats, good ECs
Just make sure the Essays and Recs are very good
All the schools you listed you will be in for sure except:
Harvard, Duke(though i think you will be in), Princeton, JohnS Hopkins(just because a friend of mine with great stats got rejected)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/740977-chance-me-2014-a.html</a></p>

How big of a deal is not being val or sal? Idk if it’s possible for me to be second bc orchestra lowers my gpa. I plan on raising the act scores tho

I didnt see the Yale question, you seem like you have a good chance.

how does orchestra lower your gpa your skills are so amazing and you have a ton of acomplishments
im a first chair viola at my orchestra and just found out i made my area all state orchestra for the fall

northwestern in.
good chance at georgetown
yale
duke good chance
harvard/princeton/JHU-reach (it’s a reach for everyone- but u still have a decent chance)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/741426-chances-stanford.html</a>
chance back?
thanks in advance.

I’m first chair too. But at my school ap classes are weighted more than honors classes so it lowers my gpa.

Wheatbread- what’s my Yale chance? You left it blank

oh sorry. yale: ugh, it’s a crapshoot for everyone. but i think you have a decent chance. good luck!

Yale EA? - Reach. Its a reach for everyone, Id say you have a decent chance.
Duke- Slight reach. You should get in.
Georgetown- Same as Duke, should get in.
Vanderbuilt- Again, should get in.
Northwestern- Great chance, reach for most people, Id say a match for you.
Harvard- Reach for everyone, you never know until you apply.
John(s) Hopkins- Aside from spelling it incorrectly (:D) I think you have a good chance. High test scores, etc. Match/Low reach.
Princeton- High reach for everyone, see Harvard.
Amherst- Reach, you have good scores, better then 50% chance.
Swarthmore- Low reach.

Aside from Yale, Harvard, and Princeton I cant see you being rejected by many of them. At most 3 or 4. As for as HYP your scores are median, and you lack a true hook. You have a good chance, but a good chance at schools that admit 10% isn’t a sure thing by any means…
