<p>asian (small country), middle class, competitive sch
most challenging course load available incl. uni classes offered in sch
top 1% overall
several national awards/scholarships for all-round perf, bilingualism
participated in olympiads (but mediocre results)</p>

<p>SAT score 2350
subject tests soon </p>

<p>ECs include
student gov
- well recognised in sch, internships in gov
capt of sports team
- succ. campaigned for new sport to be recognized
president of club (chess, othello etc)
- rep. sch at many competitions
research
- math & sc, sch rep at several activities
church band
summer job @ small cafeteria
athletics but recreational</p>

<p>community work @ local hospital
several overseas trips teaching children & building
started proj to raise funds & awareness for above cause
occasionally volunteer @ charities </p>

<p>essays & rec hopefully gd!</p>

<p>I think you have a chance at Yale, but it is a reach considering your EC’s are good but not ‘great’ and because you have no hooks. Other non-HYPMS schools would love to have you though. </p>
