Chance high school junior?

<p>I'm planning to apply to Columbia, Brown, NYU, Hofstra, UNC, USC, Elon, Yeshiva, and Florida State, though I might add others in the future.</p>

<p>My SAT scores are
Reading: 680
Writing: 650
Math: 580
(I'm taking them again in May to get my math score up.)</p>

<p>Since I still have a year, what can I do to improve my chances, also? Thanks :)</p>

<p>Also, I’m probably ranked in the top 10% of my class and plan to major in English.
I’m going to retake my SATs a few times and take at least 2 subject tests
I’m a white female from Pennsylvania too</p>

<p>I also changed my schedule for next year to:
AP Stats
AP Gov
Applied music
Acting 2
AP art history
APUSH
Honors Latin 4
Honors humanities</p>

<p>SATs are way too low for the Ivies, NYU, and maybe UNC if u are out of state. They need to be above 2200. I can’t speak for the other schools though. I would try to emphasize the actor/ performer in you when doing college apps</p>

<p>I also feel that I should add that I’ve dealt with living with a serious medical condition during high school.</p>

<p>Also, I’ve gone to a broadway training program in NYC.</p>

<p>I agree that ivies are unrealistic. NYU is in range though, especially if you get the scores up a bit.</p>

<p>So you guys think that even if I get my SATs up to a 2300, I don’t have a shot at Columbia or Brown?</p>
