The 1 E.C. that your most proud of: tons of ec not sure but i think he is proud of his 5 years of alter service (i'm proud of his PSI :) )
Athletics:...made varsity football as a freshmn 04 and 05 sectional champs captain in 06 and will be one next year, wrestling for 3 years went to state this year with team and as individual, finished 5 in state individual. He says he WILL win state next year no matter what. Two years of V-baseball the team is really good so he expects a good season.
What you like most about ND: Here is the thing he is a legacy but dosent want to go to ND, its crazy i know....
Scale of 1-10 how badly you want to attend ND in the fall of 08'- like a 5 only if i get in will he go
some big 10 schools(yuck IU) are looking at him for wrestling and baseball but thats all i know. We want to go to the same school if at all possible he will follow me and i am willing to follow him but I want to know what you guys think of his chances (i really want to go to ND). Thanks in advance! :)

I honestly dont see him being rejected

Yet, I didnt see a lot of people being rejected in this last pool who were...... Tell him to really work on the Essays// cuz now Im thinking thats what it comes down to

sounds EXACTLY like me (minus the individual athletic achievements!) but with a slightly lower GPA...i got waitlisted but with legacy i deff think he'd get in...

what's the class rank?

Actually his stats are great but if he really doeasn't want to go there it will probably show through in his essay/application. Many perfect test scorers and valedictorians were rejected

^ hahha ya... one more open slot for me

Regarding KR123's comment about desire to attend as a factor in application. My son was at a town hall type of meeting with Fr. Jenkins, ND's president, in the basement of his dorm. Jenkins had been discussing management of this year's waiting list--important to a lot of the guys in the meeting because overenrollment last year crowded the dorms, forcing a number of students off-campus who preferred to be on it. One thing he said was that they opted to choose fewer students this year, because they wanted to let qualified kids who really wanted to be at ND really have the chance to go there....

Desire to attend appears to be an even bigger factor than I thought...

As per legacy's who don't want to attend, I met a number of them in my Domer days. Some ended up absolutely miserable and ultimately transferred out. Some ended up growing to love it. On balance, though, I'd say among the most unhappy students at ND were the legacies who'd never been all that thrilled to be there.

Understanding your relationship predicament, Isabella, if your BF doesn't want to be there, it may well be in his best interests not to attend... In the case of legacies, familiarity doesn't always breed a love of the place...

Thanks for the good posts!
Yup.....the essay will make or break him......knowing him I wouldn't be surprised to see him write "my girlfriend wants to go to nd so i want to go". Jvon im 15/490ish so i guess he is anywhere from 10 to 14. But I guess if he doesn't want to go then I won't make him, I wouldn't deprive him of playing a D1 sport.

ND isn't looking at him at all for baseball/wrestling?

I don't know if ND has a wrestling team, I was told they didn't have one......hmmm....
If ND is looking at him for baseball I doubt he would tell me.
He is really sick of baseball, at least for now it looks like wrestling will be his only college sport.
