Chance HYP?

I'm a junior at the moment.

Probably because I was crying while writing the essay :P. EC essay on piano and how it gives me intellectual freedom, but also talked about how music offers a social aspect and brings people together.
• Teacher Recommendation: Decent. Both teachers enthusiastically offered to write the recs. One should be very good, other should be good. Not sure if they were stellar though.

All Reaches!!!
Because, HYP are all extremely selective, it is a crapshoot to get in

Extracurriculars?

9th bullet…

HYP are all reaches.

Now I know you may ask me why they are reaches when your stats are perfect? Well, those schools always look for more than a 4.0 and 2400. Your stats seem solid, but I think don’t think you have that one factor that sets you apart from other candidates.

Regardless, ivy is definitely not out of reach. Additionally, you have great universities like Duke, UChicago, Tufts, Umich, Northwestern, CMU. I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere great. Goodluck!

Pakistani is seen as Asian, unfortunately.

They are reaches.

You truly have no application at this time if you have no scores for SAT I or II. Making up scores for tests not taken does not really work. I come across too many students who are shocked by real vs practice scores to have much faith in “I’ll Estimate”.

“Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): First gen college student, low income, perhaps?”

Look for announcements from colleges about the push for first gen. Several Ivies publish these statistics as part of their announcements which means they consider it an admission priority. Penn is currently one of the big schools which announced it as a priority. So if you make it a point to read these announcements in April, you will know which schools are looking out for you.
