How good of an athlete and does your school have a recognized program? How big of a lineman are you?

6.75%

Which isn’t terrible, really.

White male from Georgia…

"One [essay] about my ability to detach from emotion and hardship when I need to get things done - namely, schoolwork. "

Detaching oneself from emotion when you “need to get things done” (not sure what you mean exactly) might not be the best thing. Sorry if I just come off as a prick, but im not sure about how much they might like that unless im completely misreading the prompt.
im also applying, so im not an expert or anything, so please dont yell at me or anything just trying to provide critical feedback :)

I didn’t exactly explain it as well as I did in my essay, but it was written well. and i related how it applied to my life

And I’m not really sure how I rank in comparison to other athletes, but I’ve been told that Ivy is a good fit for an athlete like me. That could be wrong though

I think you have a shot, but I wouldn’t bet on anything.

Also, I gotta second jacob92 – that was my first reaction as well. I’m not sure if detaching from emotion to get schoolwork done is a good thing. It comes off kind of cold and robotic, at least in that short explanation. But I’m sure you explained it eloquently in your essay! I’m just an applicant, too, so what do I know. Good luck!

Which essay prompt was that for, if you don’t mind me asking? One of Brown’s supplementals or a chosen topic for the CommonApp?

It was for the CommonApp, the one about events that make me who I am. I talked about how I had to get a lot of homework done even though I have to deal with things like a chronic blood disease and an estranged mother

Again, it sounds so blunt and not-great when I summarize it in a sentence…but I think it was a good essay
