Essay: Pretty unique and interesting. Not the usual template people follow for writing essays. I wrote with a touch of irony and humor about myself, but related it back to a goal I have in life.
Recs: Glowing

Thanks so much Good Luck to everyone!

If you have the ability to chance someone else, why don’t you chance yourself?

It’s human nature to doubt yourself or inflate your opinions about yourself…
And it’s always nice to have a second opinion from a random person rather than a friend who will definitely 100% of the time say “You’ll get in!”

1st: Do you like America? 2: Are you actually interested in one thing, or do you really enjoy spreading yourself out among that many activities? That, right there is what you should be asking yourself, from a current student. (Also the Interview is a huge factor in your admission) You seem fairly solid, but W&L admissions are hard to predict, as we are a unique school that looks for leaders.

Snow club, eh?

You will fit right in.

You’ll be fine. Maybe take another SAT II

I took US History and Physics as well but didn’t do as well as I’d hoped.
I don’t remember if I sent these 2 scores as well…

I think you have a very good shot. The test scores are above the average for those accepted, and your class rank is good as well. You have many ECs, and a few show depth but not all. I think the essay could be risky, but you seem to think it turned out ok.

Could you chance me for W&L next year? I know its early as I’m a junior, but I have a 3.89 GPA, top 5% of my class at a NJ public school. I took AP Stats last year (got a 5), and this year I have AP US History, AP Calculus BC, and AP Chemistry. Next year I will have AP Bio, AP Literature and Composition, and AP European History.

I am the Vice President of the Italian Culture Club, I volunteer in West Virginia during the summer, and I work with inmates in North Carolina, as my uncle operates a prison work release program. I also am playing JV lacrosse this year.

My PSAT score was a 225, and I am expecting a 2100 or higher on the SAT. I got a 660 on the Math II subject test sophomore year, but I plan to retake now that I have more experience.
