chance list

Hey I was wondering if you guys could give me schools that fit my list

  • Want to go to school with board and food for under 35,000$ per year
-From Connecticut, want to be from 1 hour- 8 hours away
  • My Stats are 3.4 UW 3.6-3.7W 1240 SAT 6 Honors 3 AP/college courses by end of High school, 200 + Community service, NHS, President of a Club, was in 2 clubs and more…
  • Want a school with 18,000+
    -Is not a commuter school
  • Undecided Major probably

If you could give me a list of schools that you guys think I would get in with money to be under my budget that would be fantastic

Thank you so much

What’s wrong with UConn? They’re a nice flagship school, pretty big, in-state, and pretty cheap. I’ll admit that their scholarship calculations are out of wack, but you’ll get through with under $35K if you don’t throw away money willy-nilly.

You could consider Binghamton University or Stonybrook University.

@MON824 Uconn is perfect it just that I want to have more options just in case I don’t get into storrs

Ah. Ok - safety schools, then. I thought you were looking for OOS reaches and prestige.

Maybe look into UMass Lowell? Actual cost + personal expenses is estimated as $45K per year, but you might qualify for some of their [more generous merit awards](Scholarships for First-Year Students | My Financial Aid | The Solution Center | UMass Lowell) as well as some other things if you read up. Your total may very well go below $35K, so I’d recommend listing it as a safety.

BTW: Try to improve your ACT (and GPA, but I think the former may be easier). Your chances are definitely not null for UConn.

@MON824 thanks… Also what does null mean lol…?

“null and void”
Having no value or zero. To nullify is to invalidate or neutralize/negate. A null value (sometimes nil) in programming has not been assigned a rigid value, such as a number, character, pointer, etc.

In other words, Your chances are definitely not zero for UConn. Really, your chances for UConn . . . I’d say is pretty good.
