- I absolutely hate to make excuses but I'll include this anyway. I went to a not so good school district during K-8 where the teachers didn't care about their students' education, which may explain my average classes for freshmen year. I wasn't even sure how they received their qualifications... Fortunately though, my dad's job relocated elsewhere. During my high school years, I went to a high school that has been decently ranked by Newsweek's Best High Schools (not sure if it means anything though).
- Another excuse: Parents divorced when I started high school. It was the worst feeling I ever had and interfered with my education
- I know my classes probably aren't up to par with CC standards, but I've never been given the opportunity to take advanced classes in past years.

Although your GPA is on the low side for a lot of those colleges (and few APs), you have a great SAT score, and you seem to have good extracurriculars. That being said, because you are applying to such competitive schools, it is not very easy to gauge your chances (Although i think you have a great shot at Michigan). In my opinion it will ultimately come down to your essays, recommendations, and whether or not you have legacy at some of these schools. In conclusion, I highly recommend that you apply to some less selective schools (including some safeties), lest you don’t get accepted to any of these schools. But, best of luck to you and may the randomness of college admissions be in your favor.

Can you chance me back?
