Dear constantinlucas : Your current three-way SAT score stands at 1850. This score is absolutely in the bottom quartile of Boston College’s acceptance range by a margin which flags your Board scores immediately. In particular, your math score (600), English SAT II score (570), and writing score (570) raise many questions including how you have achieved scores of “5” on back-to-back AP History exams, both of which require reasonable writing and organization skills in the essay sections.

Overall, your school involvement (sports, music, arts, clubs, leadership positions) seems very slight compared to many applicants, another major flag. Your volunteerism appears to be on par with others posting chance-me threads.

In summary, Boston College will be a major stretch school for your given the material presented here. Honestly, my suggestions would be two fold. First, you have to pursue another SAT testing and perhaps an ACT testing during the first half of your senior year. Your numbers just have to be improved in order to reach a mid-pack position in the BC class. Second, you would be well advised to start researching some other schools that would be more in step with your current academic profile. College Board can help you with some ideas that might be similar to Boston College with less academic rigor on academic requirements for admisssion.

Sorry for not appearing more optimistic on your chance-me thread, however among those we have reviewed thus far for the Class of 2014, your statistics are well below average for those considering BC.
