<p>I’m not sure as to whether I should apply or not, cause I’m already at the best unv of India. But if I do, then definitely MIT for sure & I will apply for finaid even though it doesn’t matter to me.</p>
<p>Well even if you left NIT it doesn’t classify you as freshman, you’re an int’l transfer anyway. What makes you think I would apply as transfer if I could have applied as freshman ? I’m not sure how you’ll make up your one year gap (if you graduated in 2011) to MIT if you apply as freshman for Fall 2012.</p>

<p>We’re not talking about the regular US universities who really don’t care.
Its MIT, which takes into consideration every aspect of what you did, doing & would possibly do (whether a chance is given or not).
You can definitely fake it but do it at your own risk !!</p>
<p>And as I said earlier, even after this thread reaches e23 pages the bottom line will stay the same. So don’t waste your energy here rather go & apply wherever & in whatever manner you want and wait for your results to roll in.</p>
