Essay is coming along rather nicely! I have 3 or 4 written and in the edit process!

If you could chance me for Chicago that would be great!! I'm also probably applying Hopkins, Williams, Brown, URochester, SUNY Geneseo, College of William and Mary, UVM, and Cornell.

Thank you! I promise I'll chance you back if you want and I won't be offended if you say something negative! I just want some kind of perspective!

I’d say you have a good chance of getting in to any of those schools you applied to, I had worse stats and got into most of them (I’m from Syracuse so those were my choices too). The SAT 2’s don’t really matter much, but it wouldn’t hurt to raise them obviously.

Wow, already written drafts of essays! You should be fine, make sure you express passion in your essays. You have good EC’s and a good class load for high school. I would try to raise the SAT scores just a bit (or just take the ACT). Otherwise, REALLY concentrate on the essay.

^Regarding what fyziks said, UChicago actually doesn’t consider the writing portion of the SAT (as they emphasize your essays greatly and can learn much more about your knowledge of the English language from them than from the SAT). So if Chicago’s the one you want, you might not even have to worry about it, as your math+CR puts you very near the top.

That being said, everything’s stellar. If your essays rock, you’ll be just fine. (Just to clarify: I hope you haven’t already drafted your Uncommon essays. The prompts just came out yesterday…)

Thanks all!

And @OxalisWombo, no, I have not drafted my uncommon essays yet, I planned out my Chicago one already, but I’m probably going to write a few different ones and then decide which one I like the best (I’m doing the same thing with my Common App essay)!
