Haiti thing: Since the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, I have been organizing benefit concerts for Haitian relief(duh). In March of 2010(concert 1), I raised $1500, March of 2011(concert 2), $900, and October of 2011(third and final high school concert), raised $4855, total of $7255. All of the proceeds have gone to a local organization with Vassar College called the Vassar Haiti Project. The money I donated is going to help rebuild the only music school in Haiti, Holy Trinity Music School in Port-au-Prince. I'm currently featured as a community member of the VHP, and in September of last year, I was honored by Vassar College and presented a check with the leader of the VHP to an executive member of Holy Trinity when a boys choir from the school came to do a concert at Vassar.

wow those are some impressive stats…with those I’d say you’d def get in, just make sure your essays and recommendations are great.

Good Luck!!

But Colgate already has so many Filipino-Greek-Hispanics who are gifted in science. Insert smiley face here.

Of course I am joking. Seriously, you look like a very talented, interesting applicant who Colgate would look at very seriously. I won’t go so far as the previous poster to suggest you might “def get in,” but I’d be surprised if you didn’t. But you have to apply to find that out. Good luck to you.

I finished my supplement today and I’ll be sending my application in on Wednesday if the response from my early decision school on Tuesday isn’t what I’m hoping! Thanks for you kind words!
