Hey guys could you please chance me to JHU, Dartmouth, Penn, Swarthmore, Princeton, Northwestern, and Cornell.

Parents: Both have graduate degrees
ECs: Varsity Women’s Lacrosse, NHS, Chess Club, 150 hours of volunteering
I’m applying to JHU as well! I think it really depends on if your applying early, if you are applying early to any of the schools besides princeton, you have a really good chance of getting in. The main problem is the cheating. However, you’re in NHS which is supposed to promote integrity so I assume it wasn’t a huge deal. Princeton Swarthmore and JHU might be a little bit harder-since the schools are smaller and accept less people. The only other thing is that you have a 3.5. is that weighted or unweighted? and whats the scale out off? Also for the semester things, colleges only look at the final grade so if the B’s are not as existent there, you will probably be fine. These are all really competitive schools you are applying to so I would definitely add some safety’s and targets if you haven’t already to your list. Lastly, it also depends on the breakup of your act. If you have a 36 on math and science but a super low reading and writing thats a problem. Goodluck! Please chance me back!
Did you ED to one of the schools listed? I think ED will help you a lot.
Your GPA is solid, but unexceptional. That alone could make it tough to get into any of those schools, and there is nothing that is exceptional or a hook.
The one head-turner is a negative one - the “caught cheating 2x,” which you haven’t explained, but I would expect that to be a killer.
It’s possible that one or more of those schools will take a chance on you, but I wouldn’t count on it.
Is this your weighted or unweighted GPA? Your ACT is fine and not stellar, so it won’t make up for your subpar GPA. However, because you have two serious academic infractions, you should not count on any of these schools. It’s hard to explain away a pattern of dishonest behavior.
Did you apply ED to Northwestern? That would boost your chances.
Wait? Will the caught cheating 2x really show on your academic record? Will you recommenders refer to the cheating? Will anyone that knows about the cheating be one of the recommenders? If the cheating is mentioned at all or if anyone knows about the cheating is one of the recommenders, your chances are not good. All of the schools have the ability to pick the best. Why would they take someone whose integrity is in question? Also, everything about the rest of your academic background comes into question. You were caught cheating 2x? How many times were you not caught?
