I took the "pattern" from the Chance Me Thread from the user "ycdiym", thank you!

You should definitely get not Michigan. The others are unlikely for all. If you’re from a favela, that is of great interest to top school.

“You should definitely get NOT Michigan?”

I did not understand!

And Unlikely because my GPA is too low?

Waiting for more “Chance me” replys.

I meant into. The other schools on your list accept under 8% overall and lower for internationlals. Their looking for rock stars among internationals, kids who’ve won national honors, Olympiads, cured cancer and so on. Or kids who’ve succeeded despite extreme poverty (which is why they’d favor kids from a favela) or political unrest, wars, etc.

If you really want to attend schools in the states, you have to look past the top ivies as do most. Where does your 80 put you rank wise?

"Where does your 80 put you rank wise? "

I dont know if understood correctly. My Rank is 2th-4th/40. But they dont show that to us.

I Can Have other EC,

I get into many universities in brazil with acceptence under 5%, 3%. The Best Brazil University and the Second Best University. That doesnt help at all?

And my campaign for takings of supplies, estimated value of $10000 in supplies for the population of Acre(Major floods occured)? I Have photos, a community of the same on facebook.

The grades in Brazil are not so easy to get like in U.S.A, a friend of mine came from a student exchange program, all hes grades were A, at Brazil hes grades were 7/10. Just to show you that the grades systems are not the same.

I assume your friend tended 1 US high chool? You can not judge all US schools by one high school. Other than Michigan, the schools you list reject the vast majority of qualified students. Throw your hat into the ring, but no one can expect to get into one.

Ok, i will try to get into these universities anyway. But what i understood from you is that is a “Shoot in the dark” for everyone besides those “genious” guys.

Thank you for your help!

If someone else wants to help, be free to do it!

sorry dude. this reads like a ■■■■■ thread.

in the case that it isn’t, I’d urge you to search for the past decisions thread and read about the kinds of people that get rejected from schools like those. they’re amazing. In regard to your friend, it highly depends on the level of classes he was taking- a lot of international transfers get placed in the non-honors and non-AP courses. regular english is a ton easier than AP Lang.

Why my thread looks like a trool thread?

It’s not the genius guys you haveo worry about. Half the class at these schools are hooked applicants: recruited athletes, kids whose family attended, minorities and the rich and famous. After they’re let in there are very few seats left. So they accept overall 6-8% but probably 1-2% of unhooked international applicants.

Oh, i understand.

I will apply some changes in my plan, train more soccer and Cross Country, maybe i can be accepted for my hability. Thank you, and if wont be able to get into these universities with Sports, i will go for 1~2%.

I know you are thinking i’ll never get into these but i will try!

Thank you!
