Chance me (A Chinese really loves Columbia)

Hi Guys, I'm a Chinese applicant. In China the competition for a spot at Columbia gets unprecedentedly intensive this year, and a inflation of SATs is making the situation even more troublesome. BUT I love Columbia. (Just ignore the account name as it's my friend's account) Here are my stats, please give me a chance. Thanks a lot!

Thanks RainMan, hope everyone get the Luck.

Please tell me your impression when viewing my information. Thank you buddies

I meant which program at Columbia?

Oh, Columbia College, Economics-Philosophy or Economcis-Political Sciences joint

Okay to be honest, I do not see anything other than the Economics and Philosophy courses and the MUN being related to Economics or Philosophy or Political Science. I may be wrong as I have never studied these subjects, but that’s my impression. The Adcoms may view it differently.

Very helpful. My essay talks quite much about them, as I even tried to add something else to balance myself. Your point is so right. It seems I lack strong academic related activities to support me. Great to know.

Where are you from??? I’m from China too and I’m also doing full IB Diploma! Same scores too! Let’s hope we both have a chance.

Hey man, I’m from Shanghai, and you? School?

Would you like to posts your stats, information, etc ?

Seriously, I wish everyone would just stop with the chance threads.

Your app is already in. No one here is really going to give you an accurate assesment. Your stats are nearly identical to a lot of other people who apply all over the world to this school.

If anything, sharing your essays through PMs are really the only way to tell if you have an edge, as they hold a very large amount of significance.

Tribbs, although I agree and think youre right, its also a harrowing experience. People are just sharing, hoping for a friendly ear or a bit of advice that they havent heard that may make them think “I may actually have this…”

It may be detrimental in the long run if they dont get accepted, however…
