Thx for Reading!

You are obviously surrounded by people who have sat's in the 2300's. your stats are very good man, its just that your environment has taught you to think otherwise...
I think you are a high match for carnegie mellon.

Oh right your so average...... lol your stats are pretty good compared nationally

WUSTL is a match. CM is a match. USC is a match. UIUC is a safety. UMich is a reach just cuz u would be OOS although if ur a New Zealander that might help cuz u bring in diversity.
id also reccommend:
- North Carolina (Chapel Hill)
- Virginia

Average is not the word I would use in describing you. I think you have very good stats

thank you all for your input. Anyone else care to help chance me? would be appreciated ^^

SHOOt. i made a mistake. my class only has 180 people -.-; so im definitely not top 10% lol

I definitely agree with acarta07's comments about being from New Zealand playing out in your favor... also, as several other people have mentioned in this thread; your stats are by no means "average"... I have friends who would KILL for a 3.6 UW GPA and ~1950 SAT scores. Chances on scale of: high reach, reach, semi-reach, good fit, likely, safety.

Washington University of St. Louis... REACH.

Johns Hopkins University... SEMI-REACH.

Carnegie Mellon University... SEMI-REACH.

USC... SEMI-REACH.

UIUC... LIKELY.

U. Mich... SEMI-REACH.

Some other suggestions of schools which offer your majors of interest (biomedical engineering & materials science):
REACH: Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania
SEMI-REACH: Northwestern University, Tufts University
GOOD FIT: Boston University, Bucknell University, George Washington University, Lehigh University, Trinity College (CT), University of Rochester
LIKELY: Gettysburg College, Syracuse University
