My father-in-law’s nephew had similar stats as you have except a lower ACT and less AP courses. He got into Kent State’s architecture school. By the way, he and I am from the Chicago area also. My son starts in architecture at USC this fall.

Based on the nephew and the schools my son looked at:

-Iowa State University stats may be OK
-Kent State University stats should be OK
-Northeastern University don’t know
-Penn State University might be a reach
-University of Cincinnati stats should be OK
-University of Illinois- Urbana/Champaign don’t know
-University of Kansas don’t know
-University of Maryland
-UMass- Amherst
-University of Oregon
-University of Washington
-University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee stats should be OK
-Virginia Tech University
-Syracuse University
-Clemson University
-Tulane University

Check if your school has Naviance and see what stats got accepted. Also check out the admissions websites for the schools you are interested in to see where the stats put you.

My S has similar stats but more AP/IB classes, and based on what we have found out so far the following are probably reach schools if you are applying to architecture:
-Penn State University (see admissions.psu.edu/info/counselors for their bubble chart)
-University of Cincinnati
-University of Illinois- Urbana/Champaign
-Virginia Tech University
-Syracuse University
-Tulane University

I’m not sure about the other schools on your list. I hope others respond to your post, as I would be interested in hearing other opinions.
Good luck!

oplax07, unfortunately your gpa and ACT scores may be a bit too low for Virginia Tech’s school of architecture admittance. I have copied and pasted information from their website’s frequently asked questions for prospective students in order for you to look at what that school is looking for. You never know, though, sometimes admissions can be a quirky thing! I hope this helps and best of luck in your search.
