Hey all! This is my first post on College Confidential, and I'm looking for a bit of advice and guidance in this college applications maze. I'm a rising senior and have put together a tentative list of colleges, but I'm not entirely sure if I stand a chance to make it into the ones I really want. Also, I'm a bit confused on which college I should exercise my early application option on. I would greatly appreciate anyone who can give me insight as to my chances at making it into the colleges on my list and where I should I apply early. Thank you all!

Here's my college list:
Yale (possibly SCEA)
Columbia
UPenn (possibly ED)
Brown
Cornell
Tufts
NYU
Williams (possibly ED)
Amherst (possibly ED)
Middlebury
Bowdoin
Haverford
Vassar
Wesleyan
Colby
Bates

Misc.:
I attended the Columbia University Summer Program for high school students, where I took a creative writing workshop.
I also have had a personal essay published in an anthology of young writers' works.

A few more things. I think my essay(s) will be very good and unique as well. Also I think my teacher recs will be very good. On the teacher recs, however, I want to ask an english teacher I had in ninth grade. I built a very strong relationship with this teacher and still talk to her regularly. However, I'm not sure whether or not my asking a ninth grade teacher will be detrimental to my application on the whole. Any insight?

Last thing: I'm most worried about my really subpar SAT subject test scores and AP scores. Will these really negatively impact my application, as in is this a dealbreaker of any sort?

Don't be afraid to be ridiculously honest with me, I need that! :D
Sorry about the long post!
Thanks!
