I was also hoping that someone could give me advice on how to demonstrate my interest in Middlebury? It sounds silly, but I’ve only recently become VERY interested in Midd (basically only looked into it/fell in love with it a few weeks ago) and didn’t have time to “network” (visit campus, meet the admissions rep, talk to students, etc.) like I did with some of the other schools I applied to. My school also doesn’t typically send a lot of graduates to Middlebury (to the point that admissions representatives don’t visit my school) and I’m a little worried about how that will effect my chances. I’ll obviously be sending an email to my admissions rep and I’m planning to visit campus in January, but if anyone had ideas as to how I could demonstrate interest, it would be greatly appreciated (especially since gushing supplemental essays aren’t an option and I might not be contacted for an interview). Thanks!

Please!

Hey. I think you’ve got a good chance. Despite this, it’s a very hard school to get into so no one here can really tell you your chances. Looks like you’re on the right track though. Visiting campus and sending an email to your rep are definitely good ideas. Since Middlebury doesn’t have supplements, make sure your email has plenty of evidence that the school is one of your top choices. If you haven’t already, perhaps sign up for the mailing list. Not entirely sure if Midd has this (I’ll admit, I’m not super familiar with the school), but if there are scholarships you can apply for, that is a very good way to show you’re interested.
