Chance Me/Am I on the Right Track?

<p>I am currently a Junior and have begun considering which colleges to apply to... I was wondering if anyone could reccommend match colleges for me and/or let me know if I am on the right track for the colleges I am interested in...</p>

<p>Overall about Me: Junior, White, Russian Jew, Female,</p>

<p>GPA: 3.70/4.3 weighted. No rank.</p>

<p>Courses taken so far:
Science - I have already taken/have almost completed four years of science courses (one of which is AP Biology. I will be taking Physics next year)
Language -Three years of a foreign language (and will take it again next year as an honors course)
History - Three years of history (and will take another next year)
Math - Three years of math (and will take another next year)
English - Three years of english (one of which is an AP Lang and I will also be taking AP Lit next year)
Electives/Others - One year of chorus, One year of working for my school newspaper, Next year i will be working on my school yearbook staff, One year of child development, Next year I will be taking child psychology honors which also counts as a college course and for which I will receive credits.</p>

<p>SATs: I took the SAT last month and got a 1330/1600 and a writing score that I am very unhappy with so I will be taking the SAT again in the hopes of raising my scores in each section...</p>

<p>Work/Volunteer Experience: The summer before my sophomore year, I completed 60 hours of community service by volunteering at my town library. Since October of my sophomore year, I have been working as a secretary/assistant/paralegal for a lawyer in my area and will be asking her to write me a college recommendation letter.</p>

<p>Major: I would like to double major in Psychology and Political Science. If not possible, then I would just like to major in Psychology. After graduating from college, I would like to attend law school and then pursue a career as an attorney.</p>

<p>My High School: Very competitive public high school in northern NJ. My school was ranked ranked 2nd overall out of 316 schools in NJ. </p>

<p>Honors (included in Courses Taken): So far, I have taken Algebra 2 Honors (sophomore year), AP Lang (junior year), and AP Biology (junior year). Next year, I will be taking Child Psychology Honors (worth college credits), AP Lit, and Spanish 4 Honors.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars: Member of the Domestic Abuse Awareness club for two years (and will be Treasurer next year), member of the Animal Rights Club for two years, a member of Tech Crew for two years, (participated in sports during my first year), and used to work for my school newspaper during my freshman year and next year I will be on the yearbook staff...</p>

<p>Recs: I asked my AP Biology teacher and my Child Development teacher (she also will be teaching Child Psych honors next year). I will also ask my employer (an attorney).</p>

<p>Legacy: None. My parents went to college in Russia. </p>

<p>I think you currently are looking good for American, Bing, BU, CNU, Delaware, Fordham, Maryland, TCNJ, Northeastern, Penn State, RU, Syracuse and UVM. Good chances to very good chances at the others. Best of luck!</p>

<p>Looking at the level of colleges you’re applying to and your stats, you should have a good chance at all of them.</p>
