I am a junior in high school and will most likeley finish with a GPA of 3.5. I have not taken the SATs yet but am shooti for a 2000. I have many leadership roles in ec's and tons of volunteer work. Also my teachers and guidance counsler love me. Two AP tests this year and probably three next year. What do you think my chances would be for American University in Washington D.C.?

I think you have a good shot, especially if you can get a 2000 (or at least close to it). Does your school rank? If so, do you know what rank or percentage you’re in? That will help to know where you stand amongst other students at your school. The leadership roles and volunteer work will definitely help you, so stick with those through senior year. Also, will you be applying for financial aid? American doesn’t always meet all need and it’s expensive, so that might be an issue. Best of luck to you!
