Chance me an American-Israeli please ! :)

Okay so I'm a junior from NJ and I really want to go to UMDCP (University of Maryland, College Park), plus I have 2 already graduated first cousins who went their.

However I am also applying to
-University of Pittsburgh (second favorite)
-University of Delaware
-University of Virgina
-NC State
-TCNJ
-Florida State (Is this a good safety ?)
-Rutgers (safety)

and here is my info

-I have a 3.85 weighted GPA (I know not great)
-1890 SAT score (taking it again next week for the second time hoping to rise above 2000 by the time I'm done with SATs)
-I have worked since freshman year so over 5000 hours
-4 years of soccer (2 years JV captain)
-3 years of indoor track
-4 years of club soccer
-1 year of baseball
-4 years of FBLA (future business leaders of america..club)
-4 years of DECA (another club
-NHS (nation honors society)
-130 hours of community service (approximate)
-in the top 25% of my class of about 290 kids

I was born in Israel, moved here at the age of 3 months, and I do have dual citizenship and I am the first out of my siblings and parents to go to a 4 year college in the U.S. (my dad went to some small school in NY for dental technician stuff..i dont think it was a actual college). Idk if it means anything but I am bi-lingual (English, Russian) Russian was my first language

Thats pretty much it however my rank is low only because my class is sooo smart the top 20 kids all have a gpa above 4.55 so I barely stood a chance, but they don't have the same EC's as me. So I wanna know what else I can do to improve my chances and what my chances are. (If there are any other suggestions for similar type colleges where I would have a good chance ill gladly take opinions) Please and thanks!

I think the biggest problem is that you are applying to a lot of state schools. The standards will be much higher considering you are an out of state student, but I still think you have a good shot at them all except UMD - CP and UVA. You have decent ECS but do you have leadership positions/can you demonstrate that you have been active in these clubs in a significant way or are you just a member? If you want to get into better ranked schools I strongly suggest applying to privates.

I would not say Rutgers is quite a safety, more like a good match until you bring your SAT score up considerably.

Thanks for the input but what if I can raise my SAT’s above a 2050…do you think I would have a solid shot at UMD-CP ?
