Chance me, and be BRUTAL. I'll chance back. (PROMISE)

Northwestern FTW! do they have an ED programme for internationals? :P

Sagert
Thanks. Though I am not too sure if I have Northwestern in ‘the bag’!

More inputs please… :)

You’re a pretty strong applicant overall, and with a 2200+ on the SAT you’d be that much better.
Overall, I’m with the others for the most part, Illinois, G-Tech, and Purdue are pretty safe bets.
Northwestern should be interesting, a good target school.
After that, you have a decent chance at Cornell (if you go ED), and a small chance at Columbia and Stanford (though they’re both reaches).

Any chance you wanna respond to mine?

Thanks jgorman450! I’ll chance you back very soon.
Does anyone agree with the above appraisal?

Can anyone tell me about Florida Tech?
I got an email from them, that I am eligible for a scholarship there and I can choose any course I want to. All I have to do is ‘reply to the email.’
It was from the admissions office.

Is it true that CB ‘sells’ your scores to colleges, and the top colleges contact the top-scorers?

^ Yes.

And yes they do have an ED program for Northwestern! I attended NU freshman year, so PM me any questions you have
Only if they had an applied physics program I’d be still be there…

As for chances, purplemonkiezz seems about right. Best of luck

Northwestern and Cornell: most likely your target schools. If you can pull off great essays and get great recs, you should be able to get in despite sub 2200 SAT score. You should try to apply to more schools within us news world ranking 15-30 range (ex. Carnegie Mellon, USC, Rice, Emory, etc)

I don’t think I’m qualified to “chance you” on this but I can honestly say that your resume is impressive. Unlike most applicants who dish out a laundry list of extra-curriculars, leadership positions, blah, blah, blah… you actually seem to like and care about what you do. I think admission officers are gonna see that too! Anyways, Cornell is also my dream school so good luck!

kevinc2

Thanks. I’ll take that advice!

kcdecember
Thank you. Means a lot.

Any suggestions on improvement? How can I expand my ECs to show my interest in Engineering? I think that’s the one thing that my application will lack! Music and public speaking aren’t related to my major!

You don’t even chance ppl back(even tho you promised). What a trickster.

Sorry. Must’ve missed!
Doing it now. :)
