Q1: By when am I supposed to send the ACT to UCB and UCLA? before NOV 30 or after I submit my application, (I already sent ACT scores but I havent submitted my application and nothing will show) How bout the TOEFL?
Q2: I want to go into econ, but should i apply as undeclared?
Q3: Any safeties that you would recommend? Neither money nor place is a problem.

A 33 should give you a good chance at U. Chicago. For safeties, do you care about size? U. Wisconsin might be a good idea. Add in a few liberal arts colleges so you have that option. Amherst or Middlebury for high/low reaches and maybe Colby, Hamilton or Colgate for a match.

GPA is 3.925, it will soon be 4.3 by the end of my first senior semester.
idk about uw since we do not give uw GPAs at my high school.
CA is out of state for me.
My brother attends berkeley if thats any help?
Intended major is accounting / business

I’d still consider all these schools to be reaches, since you are OOS. UCB and UCLA would be low reaches. Did your brother have comparable stats to you? You may also want to go to the link below, click on “Custom Tables”, answer a few questions, and input up to 3 “characteristics” at a time to see what UC thinks your admission (chance) rate is:

What is your UC GPA? UCs have their own formula for GPA.

As an out of state student, you might have an easier time getting into those schools since you’ll be a full pay student. Some of the UCs are welcoming to OOS students since those student have to pay all the high out of state costs.

Well my brother had a 2080 SAT, not really any extracurriculars just soccer and NHS. and he wasnt in the 10%… and he got in.
What is the UC formula for GPA?
So what would be an actual safety. not considering costs or anything at all?
