You’ll stand a good chance at all of those schools.

thanks! you need a chancing?
and please tell if i have at any chance at all at the top 3 ivies?
harvard yale princeton?

^ i concur. except some schools like stanford might be a low reach. a solid college essay ought to clear that up though.

harvard yale princeton would be high target?
i mean, your ECs are looking pretty legit.

Get some more leadership experience and a great essay and the big three won’t be out of the question.

thanks guys
im just worried because of my lack of sport+ instrument,
something all people seem to have
i did do cm 6 for piano in 6th grade aha but quit

well. you have golf. golf is always good for business. lol

ahaha its just that im not ranked or anything
i just play for fun - bogey hitter

Hi smiley612,

I am also trying to get into many of the same bs / md programs that you are applying to. Looking at your stats, they are all amazing! Truly awesome! I think you have a really good shot at almost all the colleges you are trying to get into, but I think northwestern may be a bit more of an uphill battle as there are very limited seats and is very competitive.

Looking at your ECs, you are extremely competetive at all the other schools though, and I think brown may be your best bet right now. Only time can tell though.

And can you chance me: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/879149-please-chance-me.html

thanks theChance
best of luck to you!

oh i should clarify if it wasnt clear:
all those courses listed are AP classes and im expecting 4s/5s
they make 13 total APs put together.

You look really competitive for the programs. High numbers and good extracurriculars. You have a chance, but it will be tough because you are applying BS/MD. Good luck!

thanks muchoschocolate
anything i should do in terms of ecs to better myself?

I think you can get in at almost anywhere with those numbers and especially the quality and commitment in ECs. The Ivies are questionable for anybody, but you got a real good shot.

Please chance me at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/879184-chance.html

Your chances look very good with all your AP Classes. I say you have a great chance at where you mentioned you want to go.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/880470-chance-me-stanford-university.html

looks amazing. you have a great balance of good numbers and great EC I hope you have some good recc from alll of that. I would bet your in to brown cornell ect… stanford columbia harvard and yale take a bit of luck in the end but hopefully youll get at least one

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/881656-chance-me-new-york-university-northwestern-university.html

Your volunteering is simply outstanding
However, I think you might want to work on some awards for the extracurriculars
Im not sure whether top schools consider volunteering or awards better

In terms of chances:

Ill say below stanford- match / low reach
Stanford- reach
Ivies- high / mid reach (but they are for everyone)

BS / MD programs are different
Im not counting those in the chances because the number of accepted students are EXTREMELY slim
Im talking 1-2% acceptance rate so the chances of those are small for anyone that doesnt have RSI, Siemens, Intel and volunteering like yours (which I hope is impossible)
But good luck and I think you are well on your way

Leave a chance please
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/881855-chance-plz-stanford-others.html

im looking to do a research project next year hopefully that will be sent to the intel talent search
our school sent 2 people this year.
thanks everyone
any more ecs i should be doing to improve my chances?

Hey smiley612,

OK so so far your stats look like a good fit for the mid- to high-ivies.
About the golf. If you don’t think it’ll stand out in your application, don’t put it in. More often than not it’ll seem more like filler than a meaningful EC.

Stanford: Reach
Ivies: Low Reach, HYP: Reach (even though i said you’re a good fit anything can happen with the ivies)

BS/MD will be much, much more tough.
I think to have any chance of those you’ll have to get some sporting ECs, and maybe more leadership roles. Your academics look great though!

Chance back a Penn hopeful??
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/844008-chance-nervous-applicant-will-chance-back-3.html

Hi,

Your EC’s and grades are excellent!
You will get into mostly any school but ivies are reaches for every one, but you still have a good chance.

those md programs, there are very little spots, so competitve is very fierce.

best of luck!

chance me too.
