Chance me and give any feedback you have about these 12 schools, please. (:

If you got into Ann Arbor, I don’t think Miami should be a problem for you. Match for Chapel Hill also. Your stats look incredibly good; GPA, SAT, rank, and extra-curriculars. To be honest, you seem like Ivy material, and with that being said I don’t think those other schools should be a problem (I’m not really familiar with some of them, but I’m pretty confident you’ll get in) :)

Thanks. And to all of you who mentioned Ivy League, I just feel like they wouldn’t be a match for me, both financially and socially. I want the full college experience, including big time sports (I’m a sports junkie), and I feel like I could get close to an equal education elsewhere at a place that has all the other things I’m looking for. Additionally, they are too small in numbers.

Ithaca College (?)

University of Virginia (match)

UCLA (match-high match)

UNC Chapel Hill (High match maybe? It’ll be tough if you’re oos)

University of Washington - Seattle (?)

Clemson University (?)

University of Maryland - College Park (safety-low match)

University of Miami (safety-lowmatch)

UC San Diego (low match-match)

You have awesome stats man. You shouldn’t have a problem getting in to a great college!

If you can I think you should try to apply to some more competitive schools. You are very accomplished and are selling yourself short with your list of schools. I would say look into schools that are Ivy caliber or slightly lower such as Duke, Johns Hopkins or Georgetown.

i do not know what you want to major in but you have the stats to get into much better schools, so if you can try to fill out the apps.

Thanks you guys. I got another acceptance today, from Clemson with a 14k/yr scholarship. (: So I guess you only need to chance the 8 I haven’t heard from yet.

Anyone else have any opinions? Do you know which of these schools are party schools, which ones are “snob” schools, which campuses are really pretty, etc?

I agree with everyone who posted. You have solid chances everywhere. I’m just curious… why didn’t you apply to any of the top 20 schools?

lpfun: I need the merit-aid scholarships, and most of the top schools only offer need-based. I’m really happy with where I’ve applied, though.
