UC GPA’s all 3? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Cal states are test blind this admission cycle.

Based on what you have posted, Cal state LA, Monterey and Humboldt are safeties.

SDSU, CSU Long Beach. UCR, UCSC and SLO look like target schools. The rest of the UC’s are within Reach.

I think you are competitive for all your schools and I would remove one of your safeties and replace with a Reach school either UCLA and UCB.

You have a balanced college list so best of luck.

Thank you sm for the reply. Your advice seems very solid and Ill take everything u said into consideration. By all 3 do u mean including the capped? The capped is 4.12, same as weighted.

Yes, the capped weighted is the most common GPA listed on the Freshman profiles for the UC’s and Cal States. Cal Poly SLO is the exception which uses 9-11th grades with a 8 semester cap for honors points. You can calculate your SLO GPA by just adding in your 9th a-g course grades into the Rogerhub Calculator.

Some admit data from 2019 and 2020:
2019 Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 capped weighted and not major specific:
UCB: 12%
UCLA: 7%
UCSD: 33%
UCSB: 32%
UCD: 47%
UCI: 35%
UCSC: 72%
UCR: 87%
UCM: 96%

**2020 UC capped weighted GPA averages along with 25th-75th percentile range: **
UCB: 4.22 (4.13-4.30)
UCLA: 4.25 (4.18-4.31)
UCSD: 4.18(4.04-4.28)
UCSB: 4.17 (4.03-4.27)
UCI: 4.11 (3.96-4.26)
UCD: 4.11 (3.97-4.25)
UCSC: 3.94 (3.71-4.16)
UCR: 3.88 (3.65-4.11)
UCM: 3.68 (3.40-3.96)

2020 Data:
25th - 75th percentiles for SAT totals:

UCB: 1320-1560
UCLA: 1350-1550
UCSD: 1310-1520
UCSB: 1290-1510
UCD: 1230-1490
UCI: 1280-1510
UCSC: 1170-1440
UCR: 1110-1380
UCM: 980-1260

Best of luck.

HSU is not campus impacted, and your majors are not impacted majors there. So you should be admitted if you meet CSU minimum admission requirements.

CSULA and CSUMB are impacted, so their admission thresholds may be higher than the CSU minimum. However, they are usually not considered highly impacted (highly competitive) like CPSLO or computer science at SJSU.

See https://www2.calstate.edu/attend/degrees-certificates-credentials/Pages/impacted-degrees.aspx for more about which CSU campuses and majors are impacted.

CSU minimum admission requirements for fall 2021 are described at https://www2.calstate.edu/apply/freshman/Pages/first-time-freshman-guidance.aspx .

Your stats are similar to my daughter’s. (3.7/4.2, 33 ACT) She was admitted to CalPoly SLO, UCSB, UCSD, SDSU Weber Honors College, among other schools, but is attending ASU Barrett Honors College. I would recommend applying to ASU, and then Barrett. They tend to give aid that makes it comparable to in state tuition.

You have a pretty good list of safeties already has others have noted. If affordable, you can also consider some private matches or reaches in addition to gumbymom’s suggestion of UCLA and UCB.
