<p>A hook would be something that would give you an advantage over other applicants, like being a minority, legacy, knowing people who work at the school, being a recruited athlete, etc. So having a legacy at Fordham would give you an advantage.

<p>starting your own business is interesting, not exactly a “hook” but definitly something to help you stand out. i think NYU is a reach but certainly not out of the question you’ve taken a good course load and have pretty good ECs</p>

<p>The only thing with NYU is that they like to see very unique kids, there’s nothing on your application that really sets you apart. Otherwise, I’d say you have a great shot at the other 3, you’ll probably get into at least 2 of them.</p>
