i want to go to a private school and i dont care about how far away it is from home. I want to major in math or engineering, but i dont want to go to a school that has a horrible M/F ratio like a lot of techy schools.

What are my chances at:
University of Rochester
Case Western Reserve University
Northwestern(my mom knows the dean of the math department but this is still a huge reach i know)
USC
University of the Pacific
Florida institute of Technology

or any other suggestions you have for me
if you put your link to your chance page i will chance you back

If you get your ACT up you prob could get into most of those except Northwestern may be a bit of a reach. But you still have a fair chance there.

University of Rochester: in/ low reaach
Case Western Reserve University:idk
Northwestern(my mom knows the dean of the math department but this is still a huge reach i know):reachhhh
USC: low reach
University of the Pacific:idk
Florida institute of Technology: in

i think you have a good shot at all of them except maybe northwestern. i don’t think that knowing the head of the math department will help you because he’s not on admissions. but if it does, then maybe you do have a good chance!

You have good ECs and good performance in your high school. I’d only say that you might want to try to improve your standardized test scores (especially ACT, a 30+ does not seem far out of your reach). So considering these facts, I will chance you as this:

University of Rochester
Case Western Reserve University: Good Chance
Northwestern(my mom knows the dean of the math department but this is still a huge reach i know): Fair
USC: Medium Reach
University of the Pacific: Fair
Florida institute of Technology: Good chance

University of Rochester: Even
Case Western Reserve University: Low Reach
Northwestern: Reach
USC: Even
University of the Pacific: Unfamiliar
Florida institute of Technology: Unfamiliar

Northwestern: Somewhat of a reach. Try hard for this one.
USC: Mid reach. Maybe a match, depending on essays, etc.
Sorry, I know nothing about the other colleges on your list!

University of Rochester: low reach/match
Case Western Reserve University: low reach
Northwestern: very high reach
USC: match
University of the Pacific: In
Florida institute of Technology: In

hey thanks for chancing me! i think all the schools you listed you can get into, rochester and case western might want a slight increase in the SAT (just try to get CR above 600) and northwestern is a super reach regardless. but it is always nice to have one reach on your list because, who knows, anything can happen. well i would retake the SAT, shoot for that 2000 and you’ll look good!
