chance me and i will chance back

have u looked at any colleges in az?

University of Rochester: Match
Case Western Reserve University: Low Reach
Northwestern: Reach
USC: match
University of the Pacific: low match
Florida institute of Technology: match

Write killer essays and get the SAT composite to 1400 and id say all are matches, even Northwestern!

the only colleges are UofA ASU and NAU is in my town, but theyre not that great and i dont want to a) be that close to home or b) go to a big public school with big classes and TAs

bump 10char

I think you’re a solid candidate there man, you do alot of EC and also achieve in alot more then just academics.

i think you have a good shot at all.
USC and northwestern might be a bit tough, but get the scores up and you’ll be fine (:

if you can pull your SAT score up to 2000, send that instead of your 28 ACT score. your courseload looks good to me (lots of APs, honors) and your GPA is very solid, so that shouldnt hurt you at all.
the other problem is that the ECs dont jump out at me. you’re obviously a very sporty/athletic person, but you dont demonstrate passion in one sport. nor do you have a lot of leadership roles…
anyways, my predictions:

University of Rochester: high reach
Case Western Reserve University: low reach
Northwestern(my mom knows the dean of the math department but this is still a huge reach i know): knowing the dean miiight help, do you know him well enough to ask for a letter of rec? try and see if you can get an internship or something with him this summer, then ask him for a letter  either way, this is still a highh reach
USC: reach
University of the Pacific: no idea what this is…
Florida institute of Technology: match
Good luck!

chance me back if you have time? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/736548-chance-me-top-schools-ivies.html</a></p>

yur welcome

University of Rochester/Case Western/University of Pacific: Definite In!
USC: Most Likely
Northwestern/FIT:Improve those Scores, More Volunteering and Diversified ECs, then you’ll have a great chance!
-For Northwestern try to focus on an obstacle you’ve overcame in your essay.
Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/736757-notre-dame-possibility.html</a></p>

A retest with some good studying would probably be very beneficial. I have friends who have made Northwestern with 32 ACTs and average class courses (2-3 APs a year, etc., one or two strong ECs), you should be able to get a good chance at all of your schools with some work. Good luck!

bump 10char

I’d say your a low reach down to safety at every school but northwestern…which…sadly…is probably a no-go

get that ACT or SAT up a bit, and you should have your choice of them all

bump 10char

University of Rochester: in
Case Western Reserve University:idk
Northwestern:reach
USC: low reach
University of the Pacific:idk
Florida institute of Technology: in

my friend just got into the University of Rochester…u have better stats and ECs than him…he just had a higher SAT score (2100 i think)

so basically, if u improve ur SAT/ACT scores by a bit, u will significantly improve your chances for all schools

Chance me?

I think you’ll be fine getting into all the colleges except maybe Case Western and NW. They probably like to see a little bit higher SAT scores, although you do have a pretty rigorous class schedule.

Also–make sure you take the SAT II Math 2 if you want to major in math/engineering; it gives colleges a chance to see your math skills, and most tech schools actually require it.

good luck!

University of Rochester - low reach
Case Western Reserve University - I am not very familiar with their admissions but I would say it’s a match
Northwestern - reach
USC - reach, but not impossible!
University of the Pacific - don’t really know anything about this school, but it looks like a safety for you based on CB & other stats
Florida institute of Technology - safety

University of Rochester: match
Case Western Reserve University: low reach
Northwestern: reach
USC: match
University of the Pacific: In
Florida institute of Technology: In
