Write amazing essays and you’re all set
Maybe you should concentrate more on one extracurricular and further it

@akd1304 thats what i was thinking too. Probably focus alot for my leadership position as praise team leader.

Emory-low reach
Nyu- low reach
Georgia-safety
Georgia tech-high match
Please chance back
(Take the sat in october and do better on cr and those reaches become matches)

@mushuwarrior thanks! and will do~~

btw im an international student. I live in georgia but have citizenship in s.korea, how will this effect my chances?

bumppppppp

anyone???

Yeah it’ll hurt that you’re an international, but I still think that you will make it into any of those schools. Basically, I’d say you need at least a 3.5 GPA and a 1900 on the SAT for NYU to have a really good chance of getting in. You seem to love music, so do something special in that area. I don’t know, you can start a music club at school or give free music lessons to the underprivileged kids. Anything that’ll make you stand out! If you do that, you’ll have a solid chance at any of those colleges, even NYU regardless of your ethnicity and citizenship IMO! Good luck! And can you chance back? Thanks!

NYU - mid-low reach
Emory University Oxford Campus - mid-low reach
University of Georgia - match/low match
Georgia Tech - high match

i think you should concentrate on those scores! 1780 to 2000 is a huge jump, so take the SAT again (study for it like hell over the summer) and you could raise your chances significantly!!

Chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1518404-chance-me-ill-chance-back.html

Hey could you chance me back?

NYU Steinhardt Music Technology Program: Low Match
Emory University Oxford Campus: Match
University of Georgia: Low Match
Georgia Tech: Low Match

All of these schools are quite accesible with your stats and course rigor. Of course, music related majors can have different admission criteria, so the standard SAT/GPA/ECs isn’t always applicable. Good luck!

Chance back at:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1518278-updated-chances-ivies-second-ivies-publics-will-chance-back.html

IMHO:

UGA: Safety
Georgia Tech: High Match
Emory Oxford: High Match
NYU: Low reach

Howeverrr because you want to go into fine arts/music I feel that your essay and your supplementals/portfolios, auditions, etc will be what helps you get in for fine arts. You seem very dedicated to music so I think you can get into NYU! :)

Good luck Chance me bacK: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1518458-these-correct-safeties-matches-reaches-me.html

NYU: High Match
GA tech: High Match
Emory Oxford: High match
UGA: Safety

Great ECs! NYU-Low reach Georgia tech-high match Emory-Match Georgia-Safety Write some killer essays and you’ll do great! I apologize for the spacing, I’m typing this from my phone.
I think you have a great chance, try taking the SAT one more time and get it to be 2100+ just to be safe.

UGA: Safety
Georgia Tech: High Match
Emory Oxford: High Match
NYU: Low reach/High Match

Chance me back?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1518519-chances-ivies-duke-uchic-stanford-please.html

I’d say you’ve got a good chance. Just focus on what you love studying and be passionate about it.

Steinhardt: Match
UGA: Safety
GA Tech: Low Reach
Emory: Reach
Emory/ Oxford: Safety
I don’t think many people in this thread are aware of what Oxford College is. Oxford is NOT Emory. It is a seperate, two year school, that is significantly easier to gain admission to.
