Cornell - reach
UVA - high match
Brown - reach
UMich - high match

Try to get at least a 32 on your ACT for a shot at the ivy’s.

My thread (chance back please): <a href=“Chances for Vanderbilt, UNC, NYU, UF, and Duke? - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1610985-chances-for-vanderbilt-unc-nyu-uf-and-duke-p1.html

Your interest seems to be teaching? or perhaps business? Your ECs need to show strongly what you love to do. Solid grades, plenty of ECs, and the PVSA definitely helps. The Ivies are always risky, and you need a good SAT/ACT score for it. The other schools you listed seem reasonably within your reach, so high matches/matches for Mich, W&M, VCU, and JMU. UVA could be either a high match or a low reach, but it’s a good school for you to try at. The Ivies are obviously reaches, especially without a standardized test score to rate, yet. Good luck!

Chance me?

bump

bump

I think Cornell is a reach
UVA seems like a match because you are an instate resident.
Brown is a reach
VCU is a match
UMich is a low reach
chance me please

Like most have said, Brown and Cornell are both reaches.

I do think you have a good short at UVA. A girl in my school with similar stats got into UVA early (and she wasn’t in-state so that’s a +1 for you).
ECs and awards look great! Your stats are good enough for William and Mary. Also think about taking the SAT just to see how you’d do.
Good luck on your ACT!

Chance back (if you want) here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1613310-my-chances-at-uga-rd.html#latest

These colleges are more or less all high reaches. Your GPA and your practice scores are good, and I think you should add some schools to your list.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1613053-chance-me-what-schools-would-be-reaches-matches-and-safties-for-me-p1.html

What is your intended major? UMich should be a low reach to high match for you. Try to improve your uwGPA and ACT.

Hi! Here are my opinions from a glance at your credentials… hope this helps!

VCU- I’m sorry I don’t know enough to give you an educated answer
UVA- low reach
William & Mary- high match
JMU- I don’t know enough
Cornell- low-mid reach
Brown-high reach
UMich-Ann Arbor-low-mid reach (But with alumni family maybe a high match…?)

BEST OF LUCK

What is your gpa out of? What is your rank?
