with that GPA and your class rank I think you only have a chance at the two texas schools.

Its going to be interesting. I would cast a wide net in terms of applications. Good news is you’re also a great transfer candidate so just in case things don’t go perfectly your way this time, with one semester of good grades at a college you should look good to transfer your sophomore year.

Yeah, don’t throw BS awards in just to have something there. If I were an admissions counselor, I would much rather see a few really impressive awards than see a long list of awards that, after a little research, I would realize didn’t mean much. It would make you seem deceitful in my eyes, as though you’re trying to pass yourself off as something that you’re not. Which I’m sure is not your intent, but remember- these counselors don’t know who you are!

PS Chance back?

yeah i understand, i just figured since i worked pretty hard for them i’d include them even if they were’nt really prestigeous. but yeah i get your point. i’ll chance yo uabc kright now

anyone else

Your extracurricular activities, volunteering, and awards are all impressive and will help you at all schools. I would say you are a solid applicant, but the GPA and especially the class rank will hold you back at Michigan. I would say it is a reach, but you have a shot. Good luck.

like everyone says michigan is a reach because of gpa but you should get in everywhere else

as a lot of people have said,
have you considered applying to more difficult schools?

apply to Brown, or NYU,

see what happens,

you will get into your schools very easily, dont worry.

thx, anyone else?
