<p>Hi y’all I was born in Canada and I live in panama. My parents were born and raised in Pakistan, and I attend an international school. I have also traveled to a lot of places so I have a lot of multiculturalism around me! I know colleges like that but what are my chances? Here is my info. Please be honest !</p>

<p>Languages: Speak English and Spanish fluently. Basic-elementary in French and Basic in Urdu</p>

Rank: 10-15% out of 58 people</p>

<p>Course load: rigorous IB (HLs: Chemistry, English A1, Spanish A2 and Economics…SL: World Politics/International Relations, Math)
Haven’t got predicted scores yet.. I would say from 36-40</p>

<p>Sat I: math 720 CR 520 CW 650
(retake in October.. CR is embarassing)</p>

<p>sat II: math i: 640 spanish : 800 chemistry: 560
(probably retake to improve math by some and chem probably)</p>

MUN: I have attended 11 MUN conferences (+1 in Oct. 2010) in which I have won 3 awards; one at a local conference and two abroad. I have traveled with my school for debate twice. I LOVE DEBATE </p>

Student Council: 11th Grade: HS Secretary and 12th grade: HS Vicepresident

AASCA Volleyball: latin American organization that coordinates sport competitions. I was in the volleyball tournament in Honduras while in 10th grade.

ADECOP Soccer: soccer tournament hosted in local Panama Schools

Math Tutoring at my school: founded by myself and a friend. We do it Thursdays after school from 2:50-4:10

<p>Social Service: Gamboa Volunteer: gamboa is an area near the canal zone of Panama, and I have volunteered to improve their English while giving tours. 6 hours a week for 3 weeks</p>

<p>ProEd Volunteer: an organization dedicated to improving education at schools in Panama. I taught English and math for 25 hours a week (3 weeks)</p>

<p>Fundacion Amaneres Volunteer: an organization dedicated to the improvement of lifestyles of kids with AIDS. I went to the local hospital with a friend to give drama classes. 2 hours a week for 6 weeks.</p>

<p>Other: I have also helped out at a rotary club in panama who volunteered optometric services for a day, participated in an orphanage club for a year, attended ‘camp hope’, and other small activities. My social service list will also expand by the time my senior year is over, I have some plans pending.</p>

<p>Summer Courses:
Georgetown College Prep. Summer School: during 2009 for three weeks in Washington DC </p>

<p>Ecole Des Roches 2007: Took French courses for 6 weeks over the summer in the South of France</p>

<p>Work Experience:
Salesman at L’Occitanne: Summer 2008 for 2 weeks (10 hrs a day)</p>

<p>Salesman at Duty Free Amador: Winter of 2008 for 3 weeks (10 hrs a day x 7 days a week (Sundays 8 hours))</p>

<p>Excellent EC’s, but their is an evident lack of leadership. That might hurt your chances with Duke. Since you are international, it will be important for your to express your individuality. Other than that, write a good essay and get good recommendations. You should do fine. Good luck</p>

<p>thankk u for ur immediate response! i forgot to mention that for the MUN conferences i held positions: i was co-chair of the environment committee, then head chair of the environment committee, i was a panelist at THIMUN (largest mun conference) and president of a committee abroad. i was also in stuco last year and this year as well. head of math tutoring and recycling group as well …

<p>otherwise you’re a monster you can get in anywhere. I envy your MUN stats. if you get your CR score up by 150 points which you can you’re in much better shape :P</p>
