Throughout my highschool career, I've put many hours into helping my father at his office (He's an MD) So hopefully they'll like seeing that.

I'm well aware that some of the schools are extreme reaches, but I was just looking for some insight.

Reading through your post, I can see that you have some pretty impressive stats. However, you are definitely correct in your belief that some of the schools are extremely high reaches. If you have really exceptional essays and recommendations, there is definitely a possibility that you could get in to some of these.

USC- Reach
Berkeley- Reach (but it might be easier to get in there because they accept more out of state than the other UC schools)
UCLA- Reach
Lehigh- You have a very good chance of getting in here.
Stanford- Reach
Columbia- Reach (both of these schools are reaches for everyone because so many qualified people apply)
BU- I think you have a good chance here. I have similar stats as you and my teacher said it was a safety for me.
Penn- Reach (same as Columbia)
Tufts- Slight Reach, but you definitely have a good chance here

Hey, I was also curious if you could list the approximate percentages for my chances to the aforementioned schools. Reach and match and stuff don't really give me a good enough idea. Thanks a ton!

USC- low reach
UCLA + Berkeley- reaches, but only cuz your out of state :(
Lehigh- in
BU- in
Tufts- most likely in
Cornell- low reach
Stanford, Columbia, and Penn are hard for everyone

btw are you male or female- you have a much better chance at getting in if you're a female- that's just the way engineering works.

i'd say your rank hurts you for the ivies and stanford and your sats are pretty low for those schools as well.
USC- reach
UCLA- Reach
Berkeley- Reach
Stanford- major reach
Lehigh- high match
Cornell- Reach
Tufts- Match
BU- High Match
Columbia- high reach
UPenn- Reach

Based on your stats I would say that your best chances are at UCLA, Cornell, and BU. The CR on your SAT might dent your chances at bit, esp. at places like Stanford and Columbia. Do you have any prominent leadership roles in your school? That might help.
Now, please chance me for tcnj and villanova!
