Chance me and i'll Chance you!

Hey everyone
With only around 6 days till app are due, i'd really appreciate it if you guys could offer your two cents into my chances of these colleges.

Ethnicity: Asian (International, from Canada)

AP Microecon-5
AP Chemistry - taking in 09

AP Stats - taking in 09
APEnglish Language - taking in 09
AP Calculus BC - taking in 09

I know that my scores have improved a lot (290 in total) but will this hamper my chances?
i mean 1920 looks pretty disgusting for a first score, but 2210 looks pretty good (to me at least) :)

my Subjects:
Math II- 730
Chem- 760
Physics - 740

Not great but i'm rewriting in january (hoping for 800/800 in math II and Chem)

Second languages: Chinese(yea i'm pretty white washed), japanese, French
-there's more but that's all off the top of my head

two teacher refs are phenomenal, not sure about my counselor's letter but she does love me :)

The schools to which i'm applying include
Johns Hopkins
University of Chicago
Brown
Cornell
Princeton
Washington U
and Northwestern

I know that i'll get into any canadian institution so really, all these american schools are "reaches" for me i think

But please do give your 2 cents on my chances
Thank you very much :)

Your GPA and test scores are great, but your EC's don't show that much focus, which is something that colleges tend to look for these days. So...

Princeton- Reach
Cornell, Brown- Slightly smaller Reach
Everywhere else- match

Chance me please! <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/621725-took-risk-blew-any-hope-left.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/621725-took-risk-blew-any-hope-left.html</a></p>

GPA looks great. The last SAT score is very good, but retaking the SAT twice may look a little bad. That being said, I have no idea how they'd take it since you took the latter two within a month of each other. As far as the ECs go it just looks like theres a focus on volunteering but not a passion for any particular volunteering activity.

Johns Hopkins- match
University of Chicago-match
Brown-reach
Cornell- match
Princeton-reach
Washington U-match
and Northwestern- match

Chance me please. <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/621370-defferred-twice-please-chance.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/621370-defferred-twice-please-chance.html</a></p>

nice applicant but nothing really jawdropping/standing out

everywhere is a match except brown/princeton.. and princeton is a higher reach than brown

You SAT II's are fine. You're wasting your time and perhaps even risking lower marks by doing them twice. I would say, as was mentioned before, that all of your schools match your statistics except for Brown and Princeton, at which your chances are as good as anyone's. Your SAT I though is slightly too low for Brown and about 100pts too low for Princeton. Chance a fellow Canadian.

Wait I didn't see your second SAT I. Ignore what I said. Your SAT I is fine too lol

Keep in mind that this is the first time I am "chancing" someone. So I am no expert.

GPA is great, nothing to worry about there. Test scores are good too. However, taking the SAT three times might come out negatively. I'm not sure. EC activities, like everyone else has said, not too focused. But I think you might get away with it.

Johns Hopkins- Match. I have a friend with similar SAT scores and GPA as you who got in.
University of Chicago- Match
Brown- Reach
Cornell- Reach
Princeton- High Reach
Washington U- Match
and Northwestern- Match

Now, chance me =P <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/622713-chance-me-duke-wake-forest-jhu-washington-university-st-louis.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/622713-chance-me-duke-wake-forest-jhu-washington-university-st-louis.html</a></p>

I think colleges only care about your highest test scores. So they will look at that 2210 and not really care about your lower scores, and besides that upward trend really shows your academic potential.

I think you look good for JHU, Northwestern, Wash U, and UChicago.

Cornell you look pretty good for, but I saw a strong applicant get deferred from there. But, I mean if it wasn't for her I would be very confident about your chances.

Brown is tough, but you definitely have a decent chance.

Princeton...who knows who gets in and who doesn't? You have really good ECs, but I didn't see anything that will make admissions counselors want to jump up and pick you out of 10000000000 applicants (well unless your essays are amazing, you can really make an impression there). Worth a try, especially if you really want to go to Princeton. To be brutally honest though, don't think its an "in," although I really hope you prove me wrong.

Chance me back?
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/621678-chance-anxious-asian-senior-i-will-definitely-chance-you-back.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/621678-chance-anxious-asian-senior-i-will-definitely-chance-you-back.html</a></p>

lol stellar you don't know anything do you... it doesn't matter if he took the SAT 3 times, colleges only look at the best score. since you are asian and international, I would have to say reaches for all them.

My apologies ruskie, just reiterating what my high school counselor told me.

thanks for all your replies guys
I'm not sure how Cornell will look at my app
there are around 8 students from my school applying to Cornell
2 of whom have 2250+
3 of whom have 22+ (excluding the 2 who have225+)
and 3 below 22

So I'm not sure if i'm at an advantage or disadvantage
It's pretty obvious to me the 2 students with the 225+ will get accepted to one of the ivies (they're ranked 2/3 in the grade with great ECs, and like...seven 5s on APs)
so will Cornell look at the applicant and perhaps say that their app is too strong?
Cornell took around 3 students from my school last year, so they defs like our school
btw all of the applicants under 22 are girls, all above are guys (mark disparity is so great between the sexes lol)

As for Brown
I've been told many radical things (ie, acceptances with 2000s, rejection with 2350s)
So i really don't know what to think
Brown is definitely my number 1 school of choice and it always has been
I'm definitely in their score ranges for everything, and i think i've shown them through my essays my personality and way of thinking (i heard that Brown looks at personality more than marks? because of their liberalism in their core curriculum)

:)

sorry i screwed up
my second score is 2080
