Chances for HYPSM, Caltech, Columbia, Duke, Wharton/UPenn, Brown, and WashU?

Thanks!!!

good grades, tough classes, good test scores

it seems like you are interested in business and economics, so i would focus on those and apply to undergraduate business programs at those schools (if they have them)

decent chances at most places, most likely not yale or harvard but you never know

probably not MIT (less business oriented)

Brown, Dartmouth, WashU are fairly likely

thanks, anybody else

MIT-reach
Caltech-reach
Columbia-match
Duke-i don’t know
Wharton/UPenn-reach
Brown-match
WashU-match

Economcs Challenge! I was in that :). We lost to Hawaii in the Regional comp for 2nd place… SO LAME.

lol spelling bee…
how many spelling bee indian kids are there?
by now you’d think their country never misspell a word.

Ya I was in econ too…lol we won at state and went to houston but we are from NE so not exactly a challenge = D.

But seriously, I think your chances are pritty standard from these schools. Your test scores are good, grades and rank are great, and ECs are standard. Your app has a WOAH factor (the national spelling bee); however, I am not sure if it counts bc it was in 8th grade. Still, put it on…it cant hurt and even if it doesnt “officially” count on your app, the admission ppl will see it and it will woah them unofficially = D.

MIT-reach
Caltech-reach
Columbia-reach
Duke- reach
Wharton/UPenn-reach
Brown-match
WashU-match

My guess is that you will definately get into Washu and possibly Brown (its a match, but so many kids apply there that many qualified applicants get rejected). Additionally, I bet youll get into 2 or so of the reach schools.

Best of luck,
Robbie

you’re looking good for Brown & WashU & Duke. Columbia is a low reach but you have a great chance of getting in.
HYPMS & UPenn are all reaches though.
add some safety schools to your list & you’re good to go

Let me guess U attend Carmel. Good luck!!

MIT and C-tech are high reaches
columbia and duke are low-reaches
