<p>Working as a paid research intern with a doctor at my local med center---may submit research to Siemens but who knows </p>

<p>That’s very impressive, but what is it you want to do? It seems as if your straddling science and economics so make sure your passion for one (or both if you want to risk it) is clear in your essay.</p>

<p>Ya I want to be a bio/econ major/minor. I really want to apply to dartmouth, penn, princeton, stanford, and rice…I would b happy at any of those schools. Is dartmouth a large reach for me or is it more of a lowish reach/high match?</p>

<p>Nebraska? I’d say your chances are excellent. And there is nothing wrong with having an interest in both medicine/bio and economics. Solving the problem of delivering health care effectively in our country is something someone with those interests might address in the future…or running a biotech firm…don’t pay attention to people who suggest that you have to have only one interest.</p>
