Volunteered at a hospital entire Junior year and doing it senior year (350 plus hours)
-Spanish, Math, English and National Honors Society

ACT - 32 three times (superscore 34)
SAT - 1st time 2120 (CR-770; M-690; W-660); Taking it second time hopefully 2200+

Unweighted GPA until Junior year: 3.98
Class Rank Top 2%

Questions: How much will it hurt my application for not having the most rigorous schedule freshman year (only 2 honors in English and World History)?
Also, because of low enrollment, I was planning to but cannot take Calculus my senior year? How much will not taking calculus hurt my application (I want to apply to BS/MD programs at SLU, UMKC, Miami, Virgiania Commonwealth etc)
-I am going to take 7 AP's and many honors in all. Is that enough rigor for BS/MD programs?
-I really want to get into SLU or UMKC or any BS/MD and early assurance program for that matter; are my stats competitive?

Thanks so much and sorry that its long. I'll chance you guys for sure!!

I’m an Indian from Illinois

oh, I almost forgot:

AP tests -
Human Geo - 5
APUS - 5 or 4 will know in July
AP Eng Lang - 5 or 4

The ACT is not superscored, by the way.

thanks! but can you chance me please?

bump… chance me and i’ll chance back for sure

you certainly look very competitive for undergrad at those schools. hell, i’d consider them safe. but i’m not sure how selective BS/MD programmes are there.

I agree with the above. Your GPA is obviously very strong.
I don’t think it will hurt you too much (the vigor of your freshman year i mean)

chance me please

Sorry if I didn’t make it clear enough. I want to go into ANY BS/MD Program (especially SLU Med Scholars, REMS, UMKC BS/MD, Union College and Virginia commonwealth university).

I have also worked 300 hours at Asia’s largest hospital in a hands on-experience (Pre-operative assisting, taking vitals, helping w/history taking, watching surgeries, accompanying in rounds etc) and I’m currently volunteering at my local hospital for 350 hours. Can you chance me for these BS/MD programs.

Thanks guys for your input and I’ll chance you guys for sure

You have a really strong resume, so I don’t think it will hurt you terribly that your freshman year was not as rigorous as your other years. And in regards to calculus, is there a community college where you could take calculus? If it’s possible to do that, it’ll help in the long run. Good luck! :)

Chance me?

looks good, if you can get a 2200 on the SAT i think you get into at least one of those programs

Good Luck

All those programs are reaches for you, I’d say. You don’t have any ec’s that stand out, and your sat score is not the greatest. Have you taken sat II’s?

bump…
