Chance me and my reaches (:

These are my reach schools! I'm not an exceptional student, and at my school I am very average. Please let me know if I even have a shot at these schools!

White Female Florida
GPA: weighted 3.97 UW 3.6
ACT: 26 cumulative
32 reading
25 english
22 math
23 science
This was just my original starting off point. I didn't study or have a tutor just yet.

Stand out EC's:

Ophelia Teen Ambassadors
-Done multiple events for female empowerment targeted toward younger girls
French National Honors Society
-Secretary Junior year
-Elected President for Senior year
Work/Study
-work with children in the aftercare program for money off my tuition
Dancer
-12 years; 8 years competing

Also in the process of starting my own website for high school age girls, written by high school girls.

Major: Political Science and Journalism
Minor: French

The schools:
Wake Forest
University of Richmond
Bucknell University

I actually think you match every single one of those colleges. Especially if you up those ACT grades. A 26 is not a bad mark at all but if you did that without any practice, imagine what you could get with studying! I definitely think you can get into all 3 of those.

Thanks for chancing me!

Thanks!

Also, I go to an All-girls school, small, Catholic and doesn’t rank.

Oh and I forgot to put my Senior schedule:
AP English
AP Government
AP French
Honors Pre-Calc
Marine Science
Journalism
Psychology
Religions

I’ve taken 6 honors classes since Freshman year, and I will be taking 2 AP tests this May, though I haven’t taken the classes.

I think you have great chances at all three, but I would definitely try to get your scores up if you can. It looks to me like you have a rigorous courseload and very good extra-curriculars, and if you can get your scores up to, I’d say, a 29 cumulative average, you’d be golden. Even if you can’t, though, I still think you have a very good shot. Good luck!

Thanks again! I’m definitely going to be getting a tutor and starting on the books, 29 is my goal!

bump!!!

Just plugging URichmond here: it has a very intensive up-and-coming international studies program in which you can major in Intl Politics with a concentration in French Studies. It also encourages all students to travel abroad, and around 75% do so, at least once. It has multiple programs in over 30 countries (I know for a fact there are at least two in France) which you can enroll in and it will equal the cost of tuition. If you get your ACT up you could easily be a contender for one of about 50 scholarships that are at least full tuition; they’re also very good with financial aid packages and meet 100% of financial need!

Oh wow thank you for the information! Richmond is pretty high up on my list!

Not all that average, seems pretty good to me!

you should be in at all those schools they are not very hard to get into.

chance me back

Thanks for the input!

Bump please!!

I promise its the last time I’m going to bump this!

thanks for chancing me. your GPA looks good and extracurriculars too. Remember, standardized test scores are optional and do not affect you if you dont turn them im. I had a kid at my school accepted into wake who did not turn in his SATs, while another who was waitlisted who turned in a 2010 on the SAT. go to an interview like me this fall because it is a large factor of your application

Thanks so much!

I lied, I’m bumping this again. Sorry (:
