Chance me and questions about UT @Austin

Hey there,

I, too, am applying to UT at Austin and started reading about auto-admit? Is that right? How exactly do they do that... I'm sure the date probably passed. But what does that mean for my chances of getting in?
Honestly, UT was a last minute choice, I thought I should have more target schools. (Like Dream/Target/Safe schools) But I'm honestly not sure if it is a target school.

My stats:
Out of State- NYC
GPA 4.0/4.0 weighted (i don't think my school gives over 4.0 GPA wise but in percentages they do, mine is 95.7%)
Rank- 103/923
ACT- 29 (Eng-30 Math-33 Read-27 Sci-25)
(I'm in a science research program at my school, but I'm not sure they'll know. Are their regional admissions officers for out of state students who will know?)

Extracurricular-
Varsity Tennis- 2 years
Key club- 2 years
Med Journal- 3 years (2 years president)
French Honors society- four years (2 yrs vice-president)
Math team- 3 years
Year book artist-1 year
National Honors Society-1 year

Work-
Mechanical Contracting Company that does HVAC- 2 summers

Community service-
Religious service at 2 separate locations in two separate years
Coaching basketball for special needs children- currently and will be for a few months

Honors-
1st place science fair two years in a row
honorable mention at a regional science fair
3rd place math team competition

I'm applying for Architectural Engineering, but i think my ACT score might be too low :(
Does UT super score?

Thank you and have a nice day :)

What type of a school do you go to??? More than 100 people get 4.0s??? Are your High School courses rigorous?

I don’t think the regional admission officers will know about. Make sure you write about that in your Essay. Your ACT scores are well within UT’s average. UT does not superscore, however they will look at all your scores and see where your potentials lie. I think you have a good chance at UT though. However the thing with UT is that they are unpredictable when it comes to admissions for out-of state and also international students. Good Luck :)

Auto admit is for in state only- the OOS admit rate is 45%.

SD1996- All of my courses are honors except for language. There isn’t honors for french in my school. And one non honors physics class.
Last year I took AP Stat, and this year i’m taking ap physics c, ap french, and ap english.
My school is a huge public school, my grade currently consists of 923, and over 4000 students in total.
If they don’t superscore, then maybe I won’t send them my second ACT grade since I haven’t taken it yet.
I’ve written one of my essays about research

Thank you :)

Humanity23- Thanks for telling me I didn’t understand that, I was thinking maybe if Ut had rolling admissions.
