i’d say that you’ve got a pretty good chance!
~

have you taken the SSAT yet? Also, you may not think so but your interview’s are big. They have to know what kind of kid you are and see if you fit what they’re looking for, not just grade and EC wise. Have you had any yet?

interviews*
dont know why i said interview’s…

Thanks for your replies. I have done my Andover interview already and I think that the woman who interviewed me really likes me, although I did it off campus so I still have to visit all three campuses. I forgot to say that I have also been doing Pilates for the past 2 years to help along with my ballet training.

why not Saint Paul’s School???

I decided today to add Saint Pauls School to the list!

I see that so far 129 people have looked at my post and only 3 people have replied. Please be helpful and let me know my chances. Thanks!

Your ballet experience will help you at St. Paul’s. How many schools a s seperate building just for dance. You may want to contact the ballet director.

Realize, SSAT’s and grades matter but they do not guarantee anything. If they did a computer could make the decisions. So all these “chance me” discussions are a bit facial. You interview, essay and personality are all part of it. Yes SPS should be on your list. You just might love it. Good luck.

I got 84 percentile verbal, 90 percentile math, and 96 percentile reading overall 93 percentile for SSAT…I think this is good enough but that’s just more info for people to chance me…so please do!

Are you applying for Financial Aid? Overall the most that I can say is that you have a pretty good chance with a good SSAT score to match.

Thanks. I’m working on essays right now. So many tough questions.

And I’m applying for some FA

bump…

SSAT’s and grades sound fine. Those combined with the diversity displayed by debate team and ballet should make you a solid candidate. Have you visited all the schools? Where did you feel comfortable? How were the interviews? Finally make sure your essays are from the heart and give insight into you. ‘Packaged’ answers never work. Good luck on the process.

Thank you for your insight.

bump…

Hey! It seems like you are quite eager to know your chances and what not, but just remember, you are an extremely qualified candidate, like any other, and you need to work on making your application show your true character and personality.

Have you considered making a tape for ballet? I am a ballet dancer as well, and in addition to taking a class at SPS, I filmed a short video of me doing an adagio, petit allegro, and grand allegro. On a side note, I wish I had the time to polish it more, my pointe shoes were basically dead when I filmed it, haha. But I just finished sewing my new pair of Freed’s! (new pointe shoes are the best)

Like everyone else says, you have a solid chance, and I don’t think there is a need for you to be solidifying that over and over, you’re a great candidate! Just make sure pour in a lot of work in you apps, and I don’t think you will have a problem getting into at least one of these schools! :)

bump…

sheesh 800 view with very few chances :(
