I am a transfer student planning to transfer as a pure Mathematics major in the Arts & Science College.
ACT Score: 30 (28 English, 27 Math, 32 Reading, 32 Science), didn't take any SAT tests or SAT subject tests.
High School GPA (3.29 UW/ 3.56 Weighted)
AP Scores: World History: 1, English Lang and Lit: 3, Macroecon: 3, Calc AB: 3, Biology, 4, Environmental Science: 3
College GPA: 3.8
Pre-requisite Classes: Took Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations ( I know differential equations is not a pre-req) during high school at my community college. Also took a C++ programing class at my CC.
Currently have completed about 35 semester units (got 2 B's: for multivariable calc and linear algebra the rest are A's), and will take about 26 more units before I graduate from my CC with a AA Degree in Math, which should put me as a Junior status (so hopefully they won't weigh my high school GPA as high).
ECs: Honestly hardly any since this is my first year at a college technically (if you don't count the classes I took during high school). So I'm only a Student Aid for my Math Professor and I'm a math tutor as well. But I have a ton of ECs from high school if they count that. I won't list them here unless someone does say that it could help, then I'll provide more information about that.
Letter Of Recs: Will for sure get one from my math professor and hopefully one from my academic counselor.

Miscellaneous Info: Honestly I just feel like I'm no where close to being as competitive as other transfer students this year and from reading past threads and posts. But I decided to apply this year since I feel like I made a huge improvement from high school. I seriously slacked off during my freshman and sophomore year of high school , but then improved big time my junior and senior year (got about a 3.7 average for those 2 years combined) I took 4 AP classes junior year, 3 senior year, and the college math courses i listed above throughout those 2 years as well. I haven't really put much thought into what I'd say yet for my essays but somewhere along the lines of I slacked off, but then worked my butt off up until this point and will continue to do so.

The questions I have: Can I emphasis my high school EC's in the essays? Or would that not be a good idea? Any idea whats the acceptance rate for math majors in this college?

So that's about it for me, if you could also give me your honest opinion if I should really try applying or not that would be great, because it's alot of work to get this app done and I finished my UC apps just recently so I'm pretty burned from doing college apps already haha. But if you think I'd be somewhat of a competitive applicant that would be great to hear.

Thanks for your input and taking your time to read :)
