<p>I applied EA to Princeton. What do you think my chances are of getting accepted? </p>
<p>School Type: Private. Top 10 in the nation. No AP classes, but all classes are considered advanced courses. Small class size (about 54 students)
Ethnicity: White, European
Average: A- (huge upward trend)
Current courses: Calculus, Economics, Studies in Drama, Adv. French, Adv. Psychology, Advanced Art Portfolio. (5 course limit. Continuing French outside of school)
Scores: ACT 33, 34 super scored. SAT 2s Math 2: 760 Bio: 710
Major/Minor: I want to major in Art and minor most likely in Applied Mathematics (My two academic passions)
Essays/Recs: VERY good</p>
<p>ECS:
-I am a student at the national academy of fine arts. I am a very talented artist and have submitted a painting and drawing portfolio to Princeton.
-I have played piano since age 5. I submitted a music supplement to Princeton. I also am a music composer and have absolute pitch. I am part of my church ensemble.
-I am the founder and president of an Arts Outreach organization (actually inspired by Princeton's President's Report in 2006 on the importance of the arts in education), partnering with disadvantaged schools, where the arts are the first thing to get cut out of their education, to broaden knowledge and interest in the arts and take them on tours of local museums with following discussions.
-I am a founder and president of an art club at my school that provides students with an opportunity to learn all aspects of art (painting and drawing, photography, sculpture, media art), art history, architecture and architectural history from an educational perspective as well as a professional perspective.<br>
-I have done many hours of other volunteer work at my church and with Project Cicero
-I am the #1 singles tennis player on the varsity team and have been awarded league all star the past two years.
-I am a United States Tennis Association competitor and a nationally ranked player. I train at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy. I have won nine USTA Eastern Division singles titles and one doubles titles, and finished runner-up in nine Eastern Division singles tournaments. (I am not a recruit to Princeton but i do know the coach and could potentially be a walk-on)
-I also have a passion for helicopter skiing and I have skied via helicopter much of the most advanced off-piste terrain in North America. </p>
<p>Work Experience:
-I interned for the summer of my soph and junior years (I was asked back for a second summer) at an Architectural Firm and took additional computer design courses in Archicad. I worked with Computer-Aided Design (including Archicad) software to create interior and exterior designs, constructed exterior and interior architectural sketches etc.
-I was a research intern the summer of my junior year at a hedge fund. I conducted proprietary research on mathematical patterns and relationships (using data analysis and regression analysis) between historical events and their impact on global financial markets</p>
