<p>^Yeah thats what I thought. A 5.0 would be impossible if your unweighted was a 3.5. That was what I was trying to say poeme. I think I made that clear lol but anyway. I just wanted to know what system your school used. As far as your weighed gpa goes to increasing your chances, it alone does not. Your ranking is what counts. A kids with a unweighted 4.0 could bet out a kids with an unweighted 3.96 in ranking, but the kid with a 4.0 only took regular classes, while the kids with the 3.92 took 10 AP, 12 Honor etc. It would be unfair to give the top ranking to the 4.0, so thats were weighing comes in. Then, your school can see your gpa relative to the difficulty of your schedule. Penn will not care about that gpa. Only your unweighted and your rank (which reflects your weighted gpa).</p>
<p>Also, the only GPA that really matters is your cumulative. Why would you post a partial GPA? What is your unweighted cum?</p>
<p>I think you would have a better chance if you applied RD and get your GPA higher.</p>
