A LOT of community service...too much more than 500 hours for sure.

Chance me at: U.Va, William and Mary, GWU, Georgetown, UCLA, Cornell
What are some good colleges that I can get in with these stats? Please reccommend me some that have good International Relations program...

What can I improve? SAT's? I feel like this is me at my max.

In at UVA, WM, and GWU.

Georgetown is a match/low reach.

Cornell is a reach.

I’m not sure about UCLA because it seems to reserve many of its spots for community college transfers.

The most important thing for you to do is get a 4.0 in the fall. If you do so, I think you’ll have good chances at Georgetown and Cornell. I also don’t think you should worry about the SATs too much because you’ll be applying as a junior, and colleges tend to put less weight on SAT scores for such applicants.

Could you please chance me at Cornell, Georgetown, Brown, Columbia, UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, Duke, NW, and JHU?

Here are my stats:

3.5 HS GPA
4.0 College GPA at a T50 university
SAT: 750M/700V/680W
Excellent Recs
Mediocre ECs – member of a few clubs, two honor societies, and copy editor of newspaper
URM (Hispanic)
Applying as a junior

Thanks.

i think u might be in at Cornell and Brown (both of them the weakest of Ivies). Georgetown is also an in, as well as C-M.

Columbia, UPenn, NW and JHU: i think you’re in, but since most of the ppl that will apply have amazing status such as yours, it will all come down to luck…

As for duke, same as above…these schools want excellent students, and since u do have impressive stats, it comes down to letters of rec’s and luck. hope my chances skills have been of service, and thank you for chancing me!

Since I’m in LA I know that UCLA doesn’t require the SATs and if you’re a student from outside california it’ll be harder for you to get accepted because the average GPA is 3.7 and thats for in state students who get preference. I’d say retake the SATs if you want a better chance at Georgetown and GWU. I really think that the personal statement and essays also are very important and since you are somewhat involved in extracurricular activities the essays will make a difference and maybe increase your chances…

wow…

Okay, now time to be realistic, as someone who applied as a transfer, was accepted into some top schools and rejected by some with a 4.0 college GPA and average high school stats (high B average).

UVA - match to low reach, it is competitive even for in state transfers.
William and Mary - match, 43 percent acceptance rate is still pretty low.
GWU - 22 percent acceptance rate, this is a low reach.
Georgetown - With a 4.0 GPA I was waitlisted here, eventually accepted, it is very competitive and most students have a 3.7 GPA in high school when they apply as transfers, check and read on their sites. High reach.
UCLA - high reach, they are not too kind towards out of state transfers
Cornell - 21 percent acceptance rate, most transfers are taken from the state of New York, high reach.

I don’t mean to sound rude, but how does applying from a top lac in Virginia improve your chances, and if is a really good liberal arts school how did u get in with your previous high school stats

-your new college stats give u chance for many of the schools you are interested in especially those friendly to virgina students

Second capDelta. Good analysis.
